'What was Nike thinking?': Trump reacts to Nike ad featuring Colin Kaepernick

The head of the Arizona Department of Public Safety spoke out about his tweet that criticized Nike's latest campaign featuring former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick.

Speaking from the BMW Championship, Woods says Nike is "trying to get out ahead" and "do something special".

Tiger Woods on Friday called the ad a "beautiful spot".

"If people say your dreams are insane, if they laugh at what you think you can do, good", Kaepernick narrates. "It's a lovely spot and pretty powerful people (are) in the spot".

The sports apparel giant has unveiled its first TV ad in the campaign, narrated by Kaepernick and scheduled to air during major sporting events. That percentage was down to 10 percent among millennials and 6 amongst Generation Z. Conversely, a staggering 56 percent of those surveyed said they were more likely to purchase from Nike after seeing the commercial.

This image taken from the Twitter account of the former National Football League player Colin Kaepernick shows a Nike advertisement featuring him that was posted Monday.

"If Nike is ashamed of America, we are ashamed of them", Davis said.

"When corporate does things that are outside of golf and outside of my realm, that's what they do".

Which means Nike would have had to have doled out that much money to receive the same kind bang it received from the Kaepernick announcement. At the end of the day, this is all about everyone being treated equally and standing up to an issue that we have in the African American male community - which is the abuse that we've taken from our justice system.

"If I was in the NFL I would be kneeling still", said another resident Peyton Warren.

Or, perhaps, maybe they just thought supporting the head of a campaign to stop police killings of unarmed Black people was a good idea.

Aaron Goldman of 4C Insights discussed with MarketWatch why placing a polarizing figure like Kaepernick (who led the kneeling protests during the national anthem in 2016) is actually a savvy business move. "I honor the flag".
