Colton Underwood revealed as next ‘Bachelor’

Tia also posted on Instagram about the split after Monday's episode of Bachelor in Paradise aired. And Tia and I are in a very good place.

While ABC has not set an official release date for season 23 of "The Bachelor", fans should expect the show to return in early 2019.

Though he has more than his fair share of supporters, news of Underwood's casting - which was leaked online just days ago - has been widely slammed by viewers who claim he's too young and not ready for a long relationship.

Tia and Colton wound up getting together on "Bachelor in Paradise".

Former NFL player Colton Underwood will be handing out roses as the lead on the next season of "The Bachelor", it was announced Tuesday.

Underwood first appeared on Season 14 of The Bachelorette, where he competed for Becca Kufrin's heart (and notably revealed to her that he is still a virgin).

Underwood said after the announcement was made Tuesday morning on ABC's "Good Morning America". "I think it took all of that to get to where I'm at now and know who I am as a person and know what I want in a life partner".

"I think that's one thing that I took pride in on those seasons, just being true to who I am", Underwood told Strahan on national TV.

However, Underwood isn't going to let this stop him from finding love.

And NO I will NOT be a contestant on Colton's season.

Underwood, a former National Football League player, also previously dated Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman before appearing on "The Bachelorette".

In a confessional, Colton said, "She's one of the best people I know". And though Colton is clearly having second thoughts about dating Tia, that sentiment does not appear to be requited.
